Kofi (R) will miss the game for suspension

Male', MALDIVES - Vyansa coach Mohamed Nizam believed his team is very much prepared to face an opponent like New Radiant. Vyansa, who will meet New Radiant in today’s Dhiraagu Dhivehi League encounter, will miss key striker Kofi Debrah for suspension and Nizam has plans in his minds to play without his most trusted striker.

‘He is a very important player, except one match he scored in all the matches he played.’ Nizam started.

‘I will replace Kofi’s position with a player who can support the team. It doesn’t matter he couldn’t play like Kofi’

Nizam also noted that New Radiant draws their game plan base on Ashfaag and he will keep that in mind.

‘They (New Radiant) are one of the best teams. Individually they are far superior and Ashfaag is the key figure so we will keep an eye on that’

Vyansa had a draw against mighty Victory in their last game and Nizam knows the score is not the only confidence they have but also the way they played against such a high profiled side.

‘Not only the score, but also the game we played against Victory has given the players a confidence boost’ He said.

‘We will try not to lose the three points. We face every game with the intention of winning it and today will be of no change’ He added.

Nizam also highlighted that today’s result will play an important role in deciding whether they will be in top four at the end of this round. With three matches left (including today’s game) Nizam knows two wins is good enough for them to achieve the target.

Vyansa is the only unbeaten team in this year’s Dhiraagu Dhivehi League, while New Radiant had a bright start to the competition winning against Victory and VB sports, but the last two game wasn’t a sweet experience for them. A narrow defeat against Valencia seemed not a problem but a three nil defeat to an unexpected warrior, Maziya, shook things around them.
